Firstly I hope you had a merry Christmas!
I'm afraid I have neglected this blog for a few weeks as I have had a few more medical issues over the festive period.
On Tuesday the 17th I had two very unexpected and frightening fits. One at home with my girlfriend Amy and another while in A&E. This has been a massive blow to my confidence and the progress Amy and I have been making to achieve normality again. Although we are not back to square one we feel as though we are a few steps back. We both feel a sense of always being on edge waiting for another fit to happen. Dreading any signs or indications, this state of unknown is not a nice place to constantly be in.
However, my ever positive girlfriend is keeping me on track and is always there with words of encouragement and love. Christmas was full of family, food and fun. We are so fortunate to have two wonderful and supportive families around us who have kept us strong throughout the last year. We can never thank them enough, you are all amazing!
2013 has not been my year and I cannot wait for it to be over to be honest with you. I am so excited about all that is yet to come and all I hopefully still have left to achieve.
Thank you for reading, please check back again in 2014 for more updates into life after a brain injury.
Happy New Year everybody
